BWR is boiling-water-proof plywood with a phenolic-bonded core — the grade we use for kitchen base units, utility areas and vanity carcasses. MWR is moisture-resistant, adequate for dry bedrooms and living rooms. HDHMR is a dense, uniform engineered board that stays flat and takes a routed profile cleanly, so it suits shutters and panelling. Plain MDF is the softest of the four and we restrict it to dry, low-load decorative work.

Laminate is the workhorse: hard-wearing, forgiving and available in hundreds of decors. Acrylic gives a high-gloss mirror face that shows fingerprints and needs care. PU is a sprayed paint finish, seamless and fully colour-matchable but repairable only by respraying. Veneer is real wood — the warmest and the most variable, because no two sheets are identical. We match the finish to the room, not to fashion.

Always. Nothing is purchased on the strength of a render or a catalogue photograph. You sit with the actual laminate chips, the veneer sheet, the hardware sample and the stone piece, under the light temperature your home will be lit at — and you sign the selection sheet before we raise a single order.

We specify from established brands — Hettich, Blum, Ebco and Hafele among them — and choose by rated load and tested cycle count, not by price. A soft-close hinge that has been through a hundred thousand cycles in a lab is the reason your wardrobe door still shuts quietly in year eight. Hardware is where cutting cost costs the most.

Quartz is engineered, non-porous and consistent slab to slab, which makes it the safer choice for a busy Indian kitchen with turmeric, lemon and hot vessels in play. Granite is natural, harder against heat, and will always carry some variation. Marble we recommend for vanities and low-traffic surfaces, not for a cooking counter.

More than most people expect. A matt emulsion hides a slightly uneven wall but marks easily, so it belongs on ceilings and quiet bedroom walls. A satin or soft-sheen finish wipes clean, which is why we use it in passages, kids’ rooms and anywhere small hands land. High gloss shows every imperfection in the plaster below it.
